Short cv:

I am a marine researcher (graduated from Port Said University, Faculty of Science, Marine Science Department). I have a permanent job as a demonstrator in marine science department, Port Said University. Basically giving tutorials and how to run experiments for students on: chemical oceanography, marine chemistry for regional seas, chemical pollutants in seawater.

Currently I am a master student rolled in Port Said University and done my research in National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries – NIOF in Alexandria, Egypt. My master is about “Ocean acidification impact on the grooved carpet clam Ruditapes decussatus”. My master’s experiment enabled me to gain experience in biological, physiological and chemical aspects by getting involved in measuring biochemical assays, metabolic, ammonia excretion and clearance rate, heavy metal bioaccumulation, water quality measurements, Using SEM and XRD and getting experience to deal with software program as CO2SYS.

I have participated as a poster presentation in the following international conferences; The 4th International Symposium on the Effects of Climate Change on the World’s Oceans (ECCWO), Washington, USA 4-8 June 2018, ASLO 2019 Aquatic Sciences Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico and OceanVisions2019 Summit on Climate “Successes in Resilience, Adaptation, Mitigation, and Sustainability”, Georgia, USA, 2019.

Furthermore, I had an Ocean acidification training in National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries in Alexandria October 2017 to November 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Nayrah Shaltout. For now, I have awarded a fellowship training on running acidification experiment in a project in SCCWRP in South California, USA under the supervision of Dr. Nina Bednarsek that was sponsored by The Ocean Foundation for 3 months. I am also a mentee in Pier-2-Peer Program by NOAA, which allow every mentee to be paired with a mentor in any country to guide and help him with his research. These experience will qualify me to get more international chances to increase my knowledge and help me to develop my career life as a Marine researcher.
