Short cv:

I am a marine scientist with a master degree in Physics from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. With more than 7 years experience in the field of oceanography at NIOMR, my area of interest covers physico-chemical characterization of water bodies, pollution monitoring within the Nigerian territorial waters, and upwelling activities within the equatorial band of the Gulf of Guinea.

The fellowship serves as an opportunity for me to prepare for my PhD, and also to broaden my knowledge in oceanography, particularly on ocean currents measurement and its impact on nutrients distribution. The training will also expose me to sea cruise, how to deploy and retrieve oceanographic equipment, and oceanographic data and sample collection. In addition, the fellowship exposes me to other departments such as biological oceanography, fish technology, marine biology, marine geology and geophysics, marine meteorology and climate change and their objectives / operations.
